Over The past four winter seasons I have had the amazing opportunity to travel around the world to ski. These expeditions have all been focused on capturing the art of skiing through film and photography in some of the most breathtaking mountain ranges in the world. Thanks to Black Diamond and my other sponsors what was a dream in the beginning has turned into reality. Although I love the aspect of traveling for skiing, the mountains around my home in Colorado still remain the most beautiful and awe inspiring in my eyes. These are the West Elks surrounding my hometown of Aspen. Until this season I have not really had the opportunity to capture what myself and the other Black Diamond athletes who call this place home do in these mountains. We usually end up going to where the film companies are and haven't had the chance to fully capture the essence of our home winter environment. Now, with the help of Black Diamond, I have a camera and have been focusing on shooting our daily excursions throughout the Elks. Here is a short edit I put together that shows just a fraction of what my big backyard has to offer. This is just the first of many and I hope you enjoy!
